We celebrated Dan and Colene's This Old House themed couples shower on August 15th at the Duarte Abode.  Xavier had a lot of fun in the salt water pool - splashing and kicking are his favorite things to do!  He would stay in there all day if we let him.  There was a lot of great BBQ'd foods poolside and cupcakes to round out the meal.  X worked off all of those extra calories crawling around and learning a few Baby Yoga tips from Barbara... she's a pro!  

Chompers!

Xavier travelled to Upland to spend his first overnighter at Grandma G's while the parents celebrated their one year anniversary.  He came back with front chompers!  They've been threatening to break through for a while, but it was finally time to come out.  If only Dad had mentioned to Grandma G that the Baby Orajel was in the diaperbag...

The Next Generation...

Xavier attended his first IMAX movie today: Star Trek.  Neil, Alfonso, Karen, and Rudy were also there to kick of the summer with a great "popcorn" movie.

2009 Duckathon at Huntington Beach

We made it to the 2009 Duckathon in Huntington Beach after X's first movie experience.  The two Duck Mobiles dumped many little rubber duckies into the surf below.  We walked around the shops and had a late lunch at the beach.  X felt right at home gnawing on his duckie rattle amongst the crowds decked out in all things waterfowl.
